Read Aloud List -1st grade & 3rd grade

I am going to read at least one book a month aloud to my kids at the start of each day. While I read the kids can draw, play with magna-tiles, or legos. I think this helps ease my kids into the school day. Β I then ask some follow up questions after I read a chapter or two. Here is my list for this school year. (more…)

My Top Homeschool Curriculum Picks

Curriculum is one of the most stressful parts of homeschooling. You may be asking yourself, Where should I start? Which one should I get? What if I buy it and it doesn’t work out? Can I use it for more than one grade level? I have asked all of these questions and had times where curriculum didn’t meet expectations, requiredΒ supplementation, and wasn’t usable.
